Contact
Email [email protected]. Bug reports, feature requests, billing questions, and privacy or data requests all go to the same address.
To make a bug report actionable, include:
- Your macOS version and ShipZen version (Settings → About).
- What you were doing, and what happened instead.
- Whether it happens every time or only sometimes. ShipZen keeps a local diagnostics log you can copy from Settings → Diagnostics; it stays on your Mac unless you choose to send it to us.
Requirements
- macOS 15 Sequoia or later.
- Your own App Store Connect API key. ShipZen has no account of its own and never asks for your Apple ID password.
- AI features are optional. They need either a ChatGPT sign-in or your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key. Every other feature works without them.
Connection problems
The key is rejected, or verification fails. For a team key, the Issuer ID,
Key ID, and one-time .p8 download are under
Users & Access → Integrations. Individual keys are created from your App
Store Connect profile, use a Key ID and .p8, and do not use an Issuer ID in
their JWT. If you no longer have the .p8, revoke the key and create a new one —
Apple does not offer another download. See Apple's
token documentation.
Your apps do not appear, or Analytics is empty. The key's role decides which Apple resources it can read or change. Use the least-privileged role that covers the work: App Manager for release and metadata workflows; Analytics Reports require Admin, Finance, or Sales and Reports access depending on the operation. Do not switch to Admin merely to make a connection test pass. Apple's Analytics Reports documentation lists the supported roles.
Sales or financial reports are empty. Those Apple endpoints need your Vendor Number in addition to the key. Add it in Settings, then reload the report. Apple also publishes finalized financial data only after a fiscal period closes, so a very recent period can legitimately return nothing.
A save fails with a conflict. Someone or something else changed that record after ShipZen loaded it — often the App Store Connect website open in another tab. Reload the app record and reapply your change; ShipZen refuses to overwrite work it did not see.
AI features
ShipZen never proxies, resells, or marks up AI usage. Requests go straight from your Mac to the provider you configured, under your own account. If AI requests fail, check that provider first — an expired key, an exhausted plan, or a provider outage looks the same from inside ShipZen.
The free tier includes 15 AI requests per calendar month. ShipZen Pro removes that cap; your provider's own limits still apply.
The MCP server
ShipZen can run a local MCP server so tools like Claude Code can work with your App Store Connect data through the app. It is off until you turn it on in Settings, listens only on your own machine, and requires the bearer token shown there. If a client cannot connect, confirm the server is enabled, that ShipZen is running, and that the token in your client's config matches the current one — rotating the token invalidates the old value immediately. Every write requested through MCP waits for your confirmation in the app.
Subscription and billing
ShipZen Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple, monthly or annually, with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan. Manage or cancel it in System Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the period ends stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the period you already paid for runs out.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you bought Pro and it is not showing, use Restore Purchases on the ShipZen paywall while signed in with the same Apple Account. If that does not resolve it, email us.
Guides
Practical walkthroughs for the work ShipZen helps with live in the guides — including creating an App Store Connect API key, a pre-submission rejection checklist, using the 100-character keyword field, and setting up a new Apple Developer account.
Privacy and your data
ShipZen has no user accounts and no servers that receive your App Store Connect data. Your credentials stay in the macOS Keychain on your Mac. The privacy policy describes exactly what leaves your device and what never does. For a privacy request, email [email protected].
